LA REGGENZA

The wisdom of over 50 years of family knowledge combines
with a dry, sunny microclimate and nutrient-rich soil to produce
La Reggenza’s fresh, elegant wines.

MEET THE VINEYARD

The slopes on which the vineyards of La Reggenza flourish are situated on Veneto’s Conegliano Valdobbiadene, positioned between the Dogali Guglie and the Dolomite peaks, the Padua Botanical Garden and the boundaries of the
Alps. Boasting extraordinary views, this passage
is rich in history – a Unesco World Heritage
Site at the heart of one of the most significant prosecco-growing regions.

MEET THE WINEMAKER

In 1924, Leonardo Della Colletta began planting the first vines that would become the La Reggenza vineyard. His four sons maintained and nurtured the activity, personally following each phase of cultivation and vinification. Today, La Reggenza has reached its third generation of winemakers; under the diligent guidance of their fathers, Sergio and Franco Della Colletta enter a new era with over
50 years of proud family experience.

TERRITORY

The unique nutrient-rich soil composition of this region and its sunny, dry and ventilated microclimate have earned it the sobriquet the “white wine road”. Protected from the cold northern winds by the crown of the Alpine foothills, the vineyards enjoy a mild climate that remains dry in winter and cool in the summer, while the varying altitudes allow for a wide range of temperatures between day and night. These elements combine to ensure the highest quality wines with intense, elegant aromas.

WHY WE PICKED LA REGGENZA

Franco and Sergio’s winery produced the first bottles of prosecco that Issimo’s founder began importing into the United States over 10 years ago. Charmed by the traditional methods used to create prosecco here, from the balanced pruning of the vines to allow the bunches of grapes optimal exposure to sunshine, to the manual harvesting, Issimo has forged a deep friendship with the family behind La Reggenza. Indeed, family lies at the root of this friendship, as our founder’s mother-in-law, Natalia, had a country home in the region and prosecco was always on offer there.

MEET LA REGGENZA’S
ARTIST

Jordy van den Nieuwendijk is an artist from the Netherlands who lives and works in Melbourne, Australia. His distinctive, colourful and playful style makes him the ideal artist to match with La Reggenza, where the specialism in sparkling wines speaks of a desire to raise people’s spirits. Jordy’s imaginative exploration of primary colours and recognisable and abstract forms makes the everyday extraordinary. Just like the sparkling wines from La Reggenza.
